Position Overview:
The Laser Engraving Machine Operator is responsible for operating laser engraving equipment to apply serial numbers, part markings, identification information, and other required features to precision manufactured components. Working from engineering drawings, work instructions, and production documentation, this individual ensures parts are accurately engraved and meet all customer, quality, and traceability requirements.
This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow established processes, and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Machine Operator will work closely with Machining, Quality, and Production teams to support on-time delivery of customer products.
Key Responsibilities:
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years of manufacturing, machine operation, assembly, inspection, or other hands-on production experience required.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, production documentation, and basic engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
- Basic computer skills and ability to enter production data and review electronic work instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn equipment operation and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to use basic measuring and inspection equipment such as calipers, rulers, gauges, or similar tools.
- Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing production requirements.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and commitment to quality.
