Trystar’s team members are our most important asset, and we are in search of a Senior HR Generalist based at our Faribault office.
Reporting to the Sr. Human Resources Manager, the Senior HR Generalist will be responsible for supporting the implementation and evaluation of employee programs, recommending improvements for employee engagement and relations, and making sure that policies in each department align with our company goals. The Senior Human Resources Generalist will be able to support activities to reduce employee turnover and to attract top talent to fill open positions.

In this role you will get to:
- Assist the Sr. HR Manager and onsite Operations in communicating and applying company policies and procedures & promote a deeper understanding within Trystar.
- Assist managers with the performance evaluation process and new hire follow-up meetings.
- Manage and update job descriptions for the site; classify positions as needed.
- Facilitate the annual performance review and merit increase cycle.
- Assist with discipline procedures and the termination process to ensure all employees are treated fairly.
- Develop and organize staff training sessions, workshops, and other activities as needed.
- Effectively respond to any benefits related concerns.
- Support in successfully maintaining employee electronic records (i.e., new hire, termination, change of status).
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters.
- Address employee relations issues and conduct investigations as needed.
- Facilitate employee engagement initiatives to elevate the working experience of Trystar team members.
- Provide support to enterprise HR initiatives including other Trystar sites as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Human Resources (preferably in manufacturing, multi-site responsibility a plus).
- 5+ years related experience (preferably in manufacturing, multi-site responsibility a plus)
- Must have strong working knowledge of HR software systems (preferably ADP).
- Must be able to effectively communicate and implement policies/procedures to drive continuous improvement.
- Exhibit high level of professional conduct, integrity, and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s in Human Resources, MBA (HR Track), Master’s in Industrial and Labor Relations.
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal employment laws.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Exhibit strong initiative and resourcefulness.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining close attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and HR Management Systems.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish).
