Manager of PMO

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Manager of PMO in the United States.

This role is a high-impact leadership position responsible for driving the successful delivery of strategic, cross-functional initiatives across the organization. You will lead a project delivery team while shaping governance, prioritization, and execution standards that ensure alignment between business goals and operational outcomes. Operating in a fast-paced and evolving environment, you will bring structure to ambiguity, accelerate decision-making, and ensure initiatives move from concept to completion with measurable impact. You will partner closely with senior leaders to define priorities, track delivery health, and remove obstacles that slow progress. This role requires a strong mix of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and operational discipline. It is ideal for a proactive leader who thrives on building clarity, driving accountability, and improving how work gets done across the enterprise.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the ePMO team, fostering a culture of ownership, urgency, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Own portfolio intake, prioritization, and governance processes in partnership with business and technology leaders.
  • Drive execution of strategic initiatives by ensuring clear plans, aligned stakeholders, and consistent delivery momentum.
  • Identify, manage, and escalate risks, dependencies, and blockers to maintain progress and delivery confidence.
  • Partner with executives to translate business needs into actionable project roadmaps with defined success metrics.
  • Oversee resource planning and allocation to balance capacity, demand, and organizational priorities.
  • Establish and maintain PMO dashboards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks to ensure transparency on delivery health and outcomes.
  • Promote cross-functional alignment while challenging misalignment or indecision that may impact delivery success.
  • Continuously improve project management methodologies, tools, and workflows, incorporating automation and modern practices.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of cross-functional projects from ideation through implementation and adoption.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, governance standards, and applicable regulatory requirements, including data protection.
Requirements:
  • 5–7 years of experience leading projects in project management, business analysis, or related disciplines.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management certification required (e.g., CAPM, CSM, Six Sigma).
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in business, management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills with the ability to inspire teams and drive accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to turn ambiguity into structured plans and actionable outcomes.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on execution and results.
  • Excellent communication and executive presence, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience improving processes, implementing change, and driving operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, SharePoint, and MS Office.
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration across teams.
Benefits:
  • Competitive annual salary ranging from $120,000 to $140,000.
  • Remote work flexibility.
  • Comprehensive health insurance coverage.
  • Retirement savings options (where applicable) with employer support.
  • Paid time off and standard holiday schedule.
  • Opportunity to lead enterprise-level strategic initiatives with high organizational impact.
  • Strong culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional decision-making.
  • Professional development opportunities and support for ongoing learning and certification growth.
  • Inclusive and collaborative work environment focused on innovation and results.
