Senior Accountant

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant in United States.

This role is a key finance position within a fast-scaling, fully remote organization, responsible for ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance across core accounting operations. You will take ownership of critical general ledger activities, including inventory accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close processes across multiple entities. Working closely with finance leadership, you will help strengthen financial controls, improve reporting accuracy, and support scalable accounting operations as the business grows. The position requires strong technical accounting expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently in a dynamic, high-growth environment. You will also play a central role in supporting tax coordination, audit readiness, and financial reporting consistency. This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced accountant who thrives in ownership-driven roles.

Accountabilities:
  • Own and execute core general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and inventory accounting.
  • Support and manage month-end and year-end close processes across multiple entities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate inventory valuation (FIFO), monitor inventory movement, and partner with operations to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Analyze balance sheet and income statement fluctuations and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Coordinate tax compliance activities, including payroll tax reconciliations, filings, payments, and resolution of tax notices.
  • Act as a liaison with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax submissions and documentation.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and reporting packages for leadership review.
  • Identify and post adjusting, reversing, and correcting journal entries as needed to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Support audit processes by preparing documentation and serving as a key point of contact for external auditors.
  • Contribute to process improvements, internal controls enhancement, and accounting system optimization initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate accounting environment.
  • Strong experience managing general ledger functions, reconciliations, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and inventory accounting.
  • Hands-on experience with inventory accounting and financial reconciliation across systems or entities.
  • Public accounting experience preferred.
  • CPA designation is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and large dataset analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
  • Experience with financial systems and accounting tools; SQL or data-querying skills are a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive financial information.
  • Self-directed, proactive communicator with strong ownership mindset.

Benefits:

  • Competitive annual salary range of $80,000 – $100,000, plus performance-based bonus eligibility.
  • Fully remote work environment within the United States.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer match.
  • Generous paid time off and flexible work arrangements.
  • Employee wellness discounts and exclusive program perks.
  • Opportunity to contribute to a rapidly scaling, mission-driven organization.
  • Exposure to multi-entity financial operations and complex accounting structures.
  • Supportive environment focused on professional growth and process improvement.
  • Inclusive workplace with equal opportunity employment principles.
