The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality backend applications while contributing to technical decisions, system improvements, and engineering best practices. The role requires strong programming expertise, problem-solving abilities, and collaboration across multiple teams.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and consume secure, scalable RESTful APIs for web and enterprise applications.
- Develop and support distributed microservices-based architectures.
- Design, query, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL databases, including performance tuning and data modeling.
- Implement caching strategies using technologies such as Redis or Memcache.
- Build event-driven and asynchronous systems using tools such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
- Use Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for application deployment and orchestration.
- Deploy, monitor, and operate applications on cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, or Azure.
- Contribute to system architecture discussions focused on scalability, reliability, availability, and maintainability.
- Participate in code reviews, improve code quality, and promote engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues efficiently.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements where relevant.
The ideal candidate is an experienced software engineer with strong backend development expertise and a passion for building scalable, maintainable systems. They should have a collaborative mindset, strong technical foundations, and experience working in modern software development environments.
- 3–5 years of professional software development experience, with strong Java expertise.
- Hands-on experience building enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), clean architecture principles, and software design best practices.
- Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Experience working with distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Strong PostgreSQL skills, including database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience with caching solutions such as Redis or Memcache.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud deployment environments.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and code quality platforms such as SonarQube.
- Understanding of enterprise design patterns and modern development tools, including AI-assisted coding solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and DevOps.
