Job Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Basic knowledge of the software development lifecycle, particularly the Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Basic understanding of dynamically typed languages.
• Basic knowledge of automated software testing practices using common JavaScript (JS) frameworks.
• Basic knowledge of coding practices and language syntax for JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Basic knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.
• Basic knowledge of front-end frameworks, specifically React and Redux.
• Basic knowledge of CSS language preprocessors such as SASS and LESS is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of cross-browser coding and responsive mobile design.
• Basic knowledge of the Git version control system.
• Basic knowledge of front-end build systems using NodeJS, NPM, and webpack is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of REST APIs.
• Both oral and written communication skills are required.
• Possesses sound analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.
• Ability to work under close supervision.
• Must be able to obtain a security clearance when required by the contract.
Education and Experience
• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, programming, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university is preferred. Significant experience may be accepted in lieu of degree requirement.
• To be considered a Front-End Developer, I must present a portfolio showing their involvement in three web applications, regardless of technologies used.
• Portfolio must contain at least three web applications where the applicant was a contributing member of the development team. The applicant must describe their role on each project and how their contribution added value to each project. To meet this requirement, the applicant’s contribution must be in a front-end development role.
