As a Product Owner, you will help shape digital products by connecting business objectives with technology solutions that deliver meaningful value. Working closely with clients, cross-functional teams, and software engineers, you will translate strategic goals into actionable product roadmaps and prioritized backlogs. This role combines product strategy, stakeholder management, and Agile leadership, allowing you to influence product direction from discovery through delivery. You'll play a key role in aligning business needs with technical execution while fostering collaboration, managing priorities, and driving successful outcomes in a fully remote, international environment.

Accountabilities

  • Develop, maintain, and prioritize product backlogs using Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, ensuring development efforts align with business priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to define user stories, refine requirements, and support the delivery of high-quality technical solutions.
  • Lead product planning activities, including roadmap development, release planning, backlog refinement, and prioritization workshops.
  • Represent business needs throughout the software development lifecycle, serving as the primary liaison between stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Identify product risks, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure project objectives remain aligned with customer expectations.
  • Facilitate communication across cross-functional teams while building trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Support strategic decision-making by balancing user needs, technical feasibility, and business value throughout product development.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or in a similar role leading software products or providing strategic technology consulting.
  • Advanced to fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Design, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and product lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on experience managing product backlogs using Jira, ClickUp, Asana, or similar project management platforms.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with executives, business stakeholders, developers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and facilitation skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable product initiatives.
  • Experience leading workshops, prioritization sessions, and collaborative planning exercises.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in fast-paced consulting or software development environments.
  • PSPO (Professional Scrum Product Owner) or CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner) certification is considered an asset.
Benefits
  • Fully remote contractor opportunity based in Brazil.
  • Competitive compensation paid in Brazilian Reais (BRL).
  • Opportunity to work with international clients on innovative digital products and cloud-based solutions.
  • Exposure to diverse projects across multiple industries and technologies.
  • Collaborative, remote-first work environment that promotes flexibility and autonomy.
  • Professional development opportunities through challenging consulting engagements.
  • Work alongside multidisciplinary teams specializing in software engineering, cloud technologies, UX, DevOps, quality assurance, and product management.
  • Long-term opportunities to contribute to strategic digital transformation initiatives.
