Job Summary:

Are you a strategic relationship builder who excels at helping businesses succeed?

Best Version Media (BVM) is looking for a Client Success Specialist to join our Magazine Success team. The Client Success Specialist (CSS) is responsible for building, maintaining and growing long-term relationships with local business partners. The role is centered on client retention, consistent communication and identifying opportunities to expand each client's marketing presence through print and digital solutions. Rather than functioning as a traditional support role, Client Success serves as a strategic partner to each advertiser - helping clients understand the value of their campaign, feel supported throughout their experience and make informed marketing decisions that support long-term success. The role contributes directly to renewal performance and revenue growth by proactively addressing client concerns, guiding campaign strategy and introducing appropriate solutions aligned with each client's goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Own Client Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact across the client lifecycle, building strong, trust-based relationships through proactive communication and clear expectation-setting.
  • Drive Account Retention: Identify account risks early, address performance or cost concerns, and confidently lead renewal and save conversations to maintain book stability.
  • Expand Revenue & Campaign Presence: Identify client growth opportunities by recommending relevant print upgrades, premium placements, and digital solution expansions aligned with campaign goals.
  • Provide Strategic Guidance: Position BVM as a long-term strategic marketing partner by advising clients on messaging, positioning, and content tools like Expert Contributor articles and Business Profiles.
  • Coordinate Cross-Functional Execution: Collaborate with internal partners across design, billing, contract administration, and campaign setup to ensure smooth issue resolution and seamless execution.
  • Maintain Operational & CRM Discipline: Manage account priorities, client deliverables, and CRM documentation accurately and efficiently to meet crucial deadlines.
Requirements:

Skills & Requirements:

  • Background in account management, advertising, marketing, or client success with a focus on retention and revenue growth.
  • Confident communication skills with experience setting expectations, leading performance reviews, and navigating renewal or objection-handling conversations.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify expansion opportunities and position appropriate print and digital marketing solutions.
  • Strong conflict-resolution skills, high attention to detail, and disciplined time and CRM management.
What Will Make You Stand Out:
  • Deep understanding of branding-focused marketing, helping clients transition from transactional ad purchases to long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Demonstrated track record of identifying at-risk accounts early and executing effective renewal save strategies.
  • Prior experience managing client relationships across both print and digital advertising environments.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex client scenarios by collaborating seamlessly across internal teams.
