Essential Traits:

• Collaboration, Trust & Engagement: Builds strong working relationships with Networking, Security, Helpdesk, and Application Support teams; communicates clearly during migrations, upgrades, and Tier III incidents so cross-functional partners stay informed; earns trust as the go-to escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.
• Customer Focus & Impact: Understands how server, identity, storage, and cloud reliability affect end users and business units; resolves Tier III incidents and problems in ways that minimize disruption and rebuild confidence in IT; delivers infrastructure projects and migrations that create lasting value rather than short-term fixes.
• Results & Accountable: Takes ownership of enterprise infrastructure (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, storage, virtualization, backup/DR) with a bias toward action; drives patching, hardening, and monitoring on schedule; leads upgrades and migrations to completion and holds self accountable for system stability and security posture.
• Business & Financial Insights: Applies sound judgment to capacity planning, licensing (e.g., M365, Azure, AWS), and infrastructure investment recommendations; balances cost, performance, and risk when proposing system or platform improvements; understands the business impact of downtime, security gaps, or under-provisioned capacity.
• Innovation & Courage: Proactively identifies opportunities to modernize, automate, or consolidate infrastructure while operating within ITAR and export-control boundaries (e.g., data segregation, access restrictions on regulated systems); has the courage to enforce compliance-driven security standards even when they slow down convenience or push back on non-compliant requests; challenges outdated configurations or manual processes, and adapts confidently as environments evolve toward hybrid/cloud models without compromising controlled-technical-data safeguards; documents changes clearly (SOPs, runbooks, diagrams) to keep improvements sustainable and audit-ready.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk while working on a computer
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as required
• Must be able to quickly navigate manufacturing areas
• Ability to stand, bend, crawl, stretch, lay, and squat for equipment maintenance
