Mother-Baby/Obstetrics Registered Nurse (Mom-Baby/OB RN)
The Mother-Baby/OB Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns following delivery. The RN is responsible for assessing maternal and newborn health, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, supporting bonding and infant feeding, providing education, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities
Assess postpartum mothers and newborns and monitor changes in condition.
Provide postpartum care, including pain management and recovery monitoring.
Perform newborn assessments, screenings, and routine care.
Administer medications, IV therapies, immunizations, and treatments.
Support breastfeeding, formula feeding, bonding, and newborn care.
Identify and respond promptly to maternal or newborn complications.
Educate patients and families regarding postpartum recovery, infant care, feeding, and warning signs.
Coordinate care with obstetric, pediatric, lactation, and interdisciplinary team members.
Complete timely and accurate documentation.
Follow all patient-safety and infection-prevention standards.

Qualifications
Active RN license for the state of practice.
Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
NRP certification.
STABLE certification if required by the facility.
Minimum of one year of recent Mother-Baby, postpartum, or obstetrics experience.
Strong maternal-newborn assessment, communication, education, and emergency-response skills.
Level I Experience preferred/required some units
EMR: Epic

12 hr. Night Shifts-36hrs weekly 15 week contract
