What you'll do
As a Quality Control Technician, you’ll play a critical role throughout the fabrication and inspection process by:
- Inspecting and testing materials, products, and equipment at multiple stages of production
- Ensuring production methods meet internal standards and industry requirements
- Monitoring fabrication processes and recommending adjustments when needed
- Verifying, measuring, and testing equipment is properly set up and functioning
- Identifying inconsistencies or defects—and digging into the root cause
- Documenting findings and preparing clear, accurate reports for leadership
- Supporting customer quality concerns and collaborating with suppliers and sales teams
- Helping maintain and improve quality control systems
- Following all safety rules and wearing the required PPE at all times
- Representing Belt Power with professionalism and integrity on the shop floor and beyond
What we're looking for
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate degree or prior quality control experience preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Solid math, computer, and documentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly—both written and verbal
- A proactive mindset and desire to continuously learn and improve
Physical & Work Environment
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Hands-on work requiring standing, bending, kneeling, and manual dexterity
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and loud environments typical of a fabrication shop
- Work may take place in the office, shop, and occasionally at customer sites
- Over time, overnight travel or weekend work may be required at times
