Job Description
The Boring Company was founded to solve the problem of soul-destroying traffic by creating an underground network of tunnels. Today, we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions.
The Boring Company is seeking a highly motivated Field Operations Engineer to support tunneling operations in Las Vegas through complete ownership of one or more assigned production-critical subsystems, such as the belt/conveyor system, grout system, mining trucks, or other machine and support equipment.
This role is accountable for keeping assigned subsystems reliable, maintainable, and available for production. The Field Operations Engineer will own subsystem performance, condition, failure modes, maintenance needs, spares and consumables, procedures, reporting, and improvement opportunities while working directly in the field to troubleshoot issues, support maintenance, drive equipment improvements, and minimize downtime.
