About This Position

Dynamic Manufacturing is in search of a Production Supervisor to join our growing team! Under the direction of the Product Line Manager, the Production Supervisor will plan, organize and lead the manufacturing function of a designated production area to ensure compliance with safety, quality, cost, delivery and teamwork objectives. In addition, they are responsible for motivating the team leaders to achieve goals that contribute to the growth of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Coach safety, quality, productivity and on-time to production schedule to ensure customer objectives are met.Facilitate team communication and conflict resolution including team learning of process or interpersonal skills.Seeks resolution of team member concerns to create an environment that expresses care, concern and consistency towards all team members.Communicates and enforces policies and procedures to meet and exceed our goalsMonitors performance of hourly associates and provides counseling, coaching, or discipline where appropriate while utilizing HR software solution.Ensure 100% compliance with safety, housekeeping, material identification, job instructions, non-conforming material and delivery.Work closely with the Quality team to identify corrective actions for defectsWork closely with Manufacturing Engineering to identify and document any project challenges and opportunities, including but not limited to production bottlenecks and inefficiencies.Continually evaluate processes and methods, recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment, performance, utilization of people, and quality of product.Manage the work areas’ 5S and other Lean initiatives. Participate in continuous improvement events.Maintain a cross-training matrix and identify and provide training for employees as needed to ensure adequate skills coverage.Monitor staffing levels to meet the daily work requirementsProvide key input for performance appraisals and compensation evaluationsConduct Behavior Based Safety observations to identify unsafe practices and areas of risk.Responsible for applying all necessary measures to avoid incidents in the workplaceEnsure that the line is running safely, smoothly, and producing quality productPlan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to meet our customers’ expectationsMonitor workflow and production to ensure production rate and on time delivery requirements are metCoordinates with the maintenance, engineering, and metrology departments to maintain equipment and utilities in proper working condition whilst assuring equipment is utilized in a safe and efficient mannerInitiates needed maintenance work orders and monitors maintenance activities.Act as a technical resource to address and resolve inquiries and problems; analyze and resolve work problems and assist workers in solving work problems.Assists with Part Process Approval (PPAP) activitiesAbility to communicate work instructions and feedback in a simple and respectful mannerAnalyzes problems and follow through with solutionsSets priorities in front of multiple requestsAccepts direction and assumes responsibilityHas positive outlook and is willing to assume new assignments and additional duties
QUALIFICATIONS:

    High school diploma or equivalent4+ years of manufacturing experienceAbility to lift up to 35 pounds unassistedStrong team building, decision-making and people management skillsAbility to create accountability and to lead by exampleOrganizational and time management skillsAbility to become trained in all the stations in the area of responsibility.Ability to troubleshoot process equipmentStrong verbal and written communication skills.Proven ability to train other employees.Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.Good command of the English language (Spanish bi-lingual a plus)
