Overview

Position is contingent upon contract award and funding.

Sev1Tech is seeking a Ground Systems Controllers (GSC) and Modernized Earth Terminal (MET) SME to support the US Space Force, Space Operations Command (SpOC), Space Delta 8. Space Delta 8 is the SATCOM war-fighting lead for the US Space Force and leads the operation, maintenance, and modernization of the Wideband Global SATCOM System (WGS) with points of presence located at multiple sites CONUS and OCONUS, providing the day-to-day operational support needed to manage DoD’s satellite communications capabilities.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Functioning as a technical expert for ground systems and the Modernized Earth Terminal (MET).
• Functioning as a technical expert in maintenance checklists and proper preventative maintenance procedures.
• Staying up to date on all technical changes for weapons systems.
• Disseminating to field technicians updates as required (e.g. tech bulletins, safety advisories)

Salary range: $120,000.00 - $170,000.00

Responsibilities

• US Active Top Secret (or TS/SCI) level clearance (eligible for immediate adjudication by the cognizant security authority)
• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related major
• Minimum of 8 years satellite ground station experience
• Minimum of 4 years MET experience as an operator and maintainer (including detailed maintenance work)

• Minimum 2 years WSOC experience preferred (e.g. operator, system administrator
