We are currently seeking a Junior Sales Account Representative at our McAllen, TX facility.
Description: The Junior Sales Account Representative supports the sales team by managing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and assisting with account growth strategies. This role focuses on maintaining customer satisfaction, processing orders, tracking sales performance, and helping drive revenue growth through strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Assist senior account manager and director with managing client portfolios and sales pipelines.
- Identify new sales opportunities through prospecting, networking, and lead generation efforts.
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely deliveries, issue resolution, and account retention.
- Manage the full life cycle of partners or customers, from pre-sales/sales all the way through implementation to ensure customer success.
- Manage and track lead generation efforts, driving opportunities across channels and helping achieve internal sales and revenue goals.
- Qualify potential leads and opportunities and then arrange introduction meeting with Regional Account Manager and/or Sales Director.
- Communicate with Sales Director and Regional Account Manager, reporting on lead generation efforts and the status of sales pipeline.
- Function as one of the points of contact for new and existing clients; answering questions about the treatment, concerns, and as well as managing their expectations.
- Provide clients with the necessary on-boarding material (training guides, marketing materials, etc.) as approved by Sales Director or Regional Account Manager.
- Assist in research and intelligence gathering in support of new client opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or related undergraduate degree.
- Experience specific to produce sales, retail, and an overall understanding of the produce industry.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- 1-3 years of advancing sales and business development experience and/or experience in a customer-facing role (produce industry preferred).
- Ability to analyze and understand sales data and identify trends.
- Experience with the sell activities in the Produce Industry.
- Experience in B2B sales environments.
- Familiarity with supply chain, logistics, or distribution industries
- Experience working with key accounts and managing customer relationships.
- Extensive work with Microsoft Office – strong Excel skills.
- Proficient in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) technology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong presentation and negotiation skills.
- Proven analytic skills: conceptualizing, analyzing, deriving insights from data, and designing an execution plan to achieve success on our platform.
- Ability to manage complex requirements and conflicting priorities.
- Flexible approach and an ability to operate effectively with uncertainty and under pressure.
- Driven, initiative-taking and enthusiastic, with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Ability to travel 15% of the time as required.
- Highly motivated to tackle complicated and impactful business problems and build best-in-class products and sales programs.

Most of the time performing this job is spent inside a standard office environment or traveling. Frequently sits, reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, stand and walk; grasp with hands and fingers and lift up- to 15 lbs. Occasionally bend, twist, push, pull, climb, squat, crawl and kneel. Frequently uses computer, telephone, and writing instruments. Standing often while performing presentations. Time is spent in a refrigerated area standing and walking. Temperature in refrigerated area averages 41F. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the operation facility is high. The noise level in the office environment is usually quiet to moderate.
