POSITION SUMMARY
The Heavy Truck Counterbalanced Territory Specialist will manage customer and business development activities for the assigned territory, specifically focused on High-Capacity Forklifts (19K lbs. capacity through 55K lbs. capacity), along with heavy truck service, parts and rentals with a thorough understanding of how to navigate complex company organizational structures to identify and contact decision-makers including up to C-level executives with professional candor and confidence.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Represent our company’s products and services, starting with a comprehensive understanding and leading to consumer research to identify how our solutions meet needs
- Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding new potential sales outlets
- Prepare quotes for customers that are provided by the alternate sales team members or self-acquired.
- Research and qualify new business opportunities following approved sales management guidelines.
- Build profiles of prospective clients using publicly available information.
- Maintain and reallocate leads (if applicable) sent from all sources including but not limited to: direct mail campaigns, outbound calling, marketing, new sales group, special events, trade shows, and company websites.
- Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage HTPE Sales Specialists as needed
- Increase market awareness through an Omnichannel approach entailing, internet research, LinkedIn, cold-calling
- Improve transactional Parts, Service and Rental sales volume for HTPE (Heavy Trucks and Port Equipment)
- Customarily and regularly meet (face to face or virtually) with both HTPE leadership and Regional Sales leadership.
- Actively collaborate with Branch Management, Territory Managers, and Equipment Specialist’s
- Meet all sales and performance objectives including minimum customer touch points, transactional sales results, lead gen etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field preferred
Experience: Minimum 1 year of marketing or sales experience preferred
Computer Skills: Basic knowledge and abilities of Microsoft Office products
Other Requirements: Skilled business development professional who is used to working to targets and possesses strong communication skills with unwavering dedication in their prospecting efforts with a wide range of decision-makers. Proven track record in sales, business development, winning new business, and increasing revenue through generation of leads. Show an understanding of the challenges facing the industry at present and illustrate a knowledge of the operational attention to detail that will be required to succeed within the industry.
