Position Summary:
The HVAC Installer Technician role is responsible for installing residential and light commercial HVAC systems including furnaces, air handlers, condensers, ductwork, and indoor air quality components. The ideal candidate can work independently or with a team, is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and committed to delivering excellent service and quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:

• Install HVAC systems including furnaces, coils, condensers, compressors, refrigerant lines, TXVs, UV lights, air cleaners, and humidifiers
• Perform wiring of both low-voltage and line-voltage electrical to HVAC units
• Braze, solder, and install copper refrigerant lines
• Fabricate and install sheet metal and flex ductwork according to job specs
• Accurately connect gas lines and ensure safe operation
• Conduct system start-ups and perform final testing for proper performance
• Read and interpret job layouts, schematics, and blueprints
• Load, transport, and unload HVAC materials and equipment for jobs
• Complete all required paperwork thoroughly and accurately
• Maintain a clean and well-stocked company vehicle and return unused parts
• Assist in training and mentoring HVAC installer helpers
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company standards
• Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and supervisors
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively on job sites

• All other duties as assigned

• 1–3 years of HVAC installation experience required
• Current New Mexico Journeyman Plumbing License preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• EPA Certification preferred
• Valid New Mexico driver’s license and clean driving record
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of HVAC system components
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs safely
• Comfortable working in tight spaces, on ladders, rooftops, attics, and in extreme temperatures (up to 120°F)
• Proficient with HVAC tools and safety practices
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Able to pass background check

• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders
• Regularly required to work in small, confined spaces such as crawl spaces and attics
• Must be comfortable working at heights, including on ladders and rooftops
• Exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions depending on job site
• May encounter dust, debris, insulation, and other materials typical of residential and commercial job sites
