About This Position

Description:

Provide assessment, planning, counseling/therapy, referrals, advocacy and other services to birth families, resource parents and children/youth that have joined resource families. Work includes both Foster Care and Adoption case work.

  • Provide assessment, planning, counseling/therapy, referrals, advocacy, and collateral contacts.
  • Prepare and maintain timely documentation and records in accordance with agency, state accreditation, and other requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Testify at court hearings as necessary.
  • Complete necessary court reports and court updates.
  • Participate in regular peer review, individual supervision, and clinical consultation as appropriate.
  • Establish and maintain professional, collaborative relationships with the agency and community.
  • Plan, design, and present educational programs as appropriate.
  • Participates in training for foster care/adoption parents.
  • Maintain agency standards regarding confidentiality, quality, and productivity.
  • Position based in Wilmington, with state-wide travel required as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services or related degree, required. Previous experience in the field, preferred.

  • Must have valid driver’s license, which meets the requirements of the agency’s insurance carrier.
