About This Position

Network Engineer

POSITION PURPOSE

  • A network engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining and supporting server platforms & related infrastructure within the organization. The network engineer will apply current technical knowledge, proven communication and problem-solving skills and established best practices while designing, implementing, supporting and documenting client networks and systems.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • Associate Degree in: Computer Sciences or equivalent work experience.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 1 to 3 years

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and technical problem-solving abilities, including effective knowledge transfer.

  • Ability to develop, maintain, and improve documentation for all networked and identityrelated systems.
  • Experience with enterprise virtualization platforms.
  • Knowledge of enterprise storage technologies including SAN, NAS, and backup solutions.
  • Expertise with Microsoft technologies, including:
    • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD): identity lifecycle management, conditional access, identity governance, SSO, MFA, hybrid identity, and application integration.
    • Active Directory, Group Policy, Azure services.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise network and system security, including compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with multiple operating systems and enterprise platforms.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Ability to lead, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • High degree of resourcefulness, adaptability, and troubleshooting aptitude.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve network and identityrelated issues within established service levels.
  • Support Windows Server environments, including patching, hardening, and lifecycle management.
  • Automate routine tasks using PowerShell and other scripting tools.
  • Manage and support identity and access solutions, including:
    • Microsoft Entra ID administration
    • Conditional Access policy design and maintenance
    • MFA, SSO, and identity governance
    • Hybrid identity (Azure AD Connect, cloud sync)
  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive documentation for all implemented network and identity systems.
  • Collaborate with networking, security, and application teams to ensure seamless integration across systems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, and architectural diagrams.
