DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

The Licensed Practical Nurse supports the nursing process and functions under the direction of a
Professional Registered Nurse. The Licensed Practical Nurse must adhere to policy and procedure for
Berkshire Medical Center clinical services.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)

Experience:

Has a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures.

Education and Training:

Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing.

License, Certification & Registration:

LPN - Licensed Practical Nurses

BLS
-

Other Requirements:
-
Demonstrates continuing education in accordance with State regulations. Assures compliance with unit-specific scope of practice.
