Job Summary: The Seasonal Part-Time Vehicle Prep Detailer is responsible for the cleanliness of all fleet and support vehicles. This position could be up to a 32-hour-per-week position and is expected to last between March 1st and November 30th. They will champion the company’s mission and vision and model the company’s values.
What you will do
- Responsible for the thorough detailing and cleaning of all Wheelhouse vehicles.
- Safe transport of vehicles between various staging areas
- Assist in the cleanliness and organization of the Detail Bay
- Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of Wheelhouse West Inc., its products, vehicles and programs
- Protect the moral, legal and financial well-being of the company
- Continually work with other team members and departments for new and better ways of accomplishing work and results with an emphasis on safety, accountability, leadership, and guest service
- Perform any other job duties as assigned by management
Knowledge and Skills you Possess
- High School Graduate a plus
- Ability to interact well with customers and fellow team members
- Demonstrate outstanding customer service and problem-solving skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in the most productive and/or appropriate manner.
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain safe and organized working areas
- Develop a strong knowledge of vehicle cleaning products, processes, and chemicals.
- Proficient manual transmission operation or ability to learn.
Expectations
- Adhere to an event-driven work schedule—shifts ranging primarily 12PM to 7PM.
- Primarily Monday-Friday, with occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Professionally represent the company in community, industry organizations and events
- Use proper and professional language in the workplace when interfacing with guests or potential clients and when representing the company in an official capacity
- Must be able to make quick, sound decisions that match the company values and standards
- Demonstrate an ability to perform quality work with no errors in a timely manner.
- Show respect for others and maintain a positive attitude
- Maintain a current valid driver’s license, clean driving record, pass background and drug screening
Physical Demands
- May be required to work long hours—in various weather conditions
- Active, physical, on-the-go daily workflow
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Moderate to high levels of stress may be associated with this position

- Must be able to communicate in English
