Human Resource Generalist at ABF – Fenton, Missouri

ABF Security is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support a fast-paced security operations environment. This role manages day-to-day HR functions, ensures compliance with employment laws and licensing requirements, and partners with leadership to support workforce planning, employee relations, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for technicians, sales, and office staff
• Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, and onboarding documentation
• Support employee relations, coaching, and performance improvement plans
• Ensure compliance with FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, and OSHA requirements
• Oversee workers’ compensation and return-to-work processes
• Administer benefits (health, 401(k), PTO) and assist with payroll support
• Track HR metrics including turnover, absenteeism, and labor costs
• Support training, engagement, and retention initiatives

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HR experience required
• Service, construction, or security industry experience preferred
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance
• Ability to support both field and office employees
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
