Lifeguard at Anderson Center for Autism – Staatsburg, New York

The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of all Anderson Center for Autism consumers; both in and around the pool.

The pool is scheduled to open Memorial Day.

Pay Range: $18.50 - $23.75; Based on education and years of experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prevent accidents by ensuring pool rules are followed.
• Maintain proper pool attendance.
• Bather interactions.
  • Lifeguard will use whistle and verbal prompt to alert students to comply with pool rules.
  • When the student does not comply with this alert, the lifeguard will advise program staff to intervene.
• Monitor and maintain pool chlorine and pH and the cleanliness of pool and surrounding areas.
• Secure pool when closed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be 16 years of age.
• Water Safety Instructor, First Aid, CPR certifications required.
• Must be a certified Lifeguard.
