About This Position
Position Summary
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain lifecycle, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution. This role ensures that materials, equipment, and resources are available to meet operational demands while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance with company standards.
The Supply Chain Manager will work closely with Operations, Fleet, Warehouse, Finance, and Field Teams to ensure seamless coordination of materials from sourcing through delivery. This position plays a critical role in maintaining vendor relationships, optimizing inventory levels, and improving overall supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of materials from procurement through delivery to job sites
- Coordinate the movement, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, and equipment
- Identify optimal transportation routes and delivery methods to ensure timely and cost- effective logistics
- Ensure materials are available to meet project timelines and operational needs
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and service providers
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms to control costs and improve service levels
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and reliability
- Identify and onboard new vendors to support business growth and operational needs
- Maintain accurate inventory levels across warehouses, yards, and job sites
- Implement inventory controls to minimize shortages, overstock, and loss
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure proper handling, storage, and tracking of materials
- Analyze current supply chain processes and identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain performance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and contractual requirements
- Partner with Operations, Project Managers, and Field Teams to forecast material needs
- Support project planning by aligning supply chain activities with project schedules
- Coordinate with Finance on budgeting, cost tracking, and vendor payments
- Assist in new project launches by ensuring materials and resources are aligned
- Lead and support warehouse, logistics, and procurement personnel
- Provide training, guidance, and performance management for team members
- Assess staffing needs and recommend resources to support operational demand
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or procurement management
- Strong understanding of inventory management, logistics, and vendor management
- Experience in construction, telecom, or field operations environments preferred
- Knowledge of supply chain systems or ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, or similar) is a plus
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies preferred
