The Windjammer (est. 1976) is an iconic waterfront restaurant located on Lake Monroe in Bloomington, IN. Known for its exceptional food, live music, and scenic lakeside seating, The Windjammer continues to serve as an important landmark to the lake life community.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greeting guests warmly and create a positive first impression.
• Manage reservations and waitlists during high-volume periods.
• Coordinate seating and maintain smooth table turnover.
• Introduce guests to their server for a seamless transition.
• Engage in friendly conversation while seating guests promptly.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables quickly for the next guest.
• Thank guests sincerely upon departure and invite them to return.
• Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth operation.
• Adhere to company policies and hospitality standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
• Basic knowledge of reservation systems.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and move quickly between tasks.
