The Role

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all inventory records within the accounting system. This role oversees inventory transactions, supports month‑end processes, and partners with third‑party warehouse facilities to maintain alignment between operational and financial data. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, analytical, and experienced in inventory accounting procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all inventory transactions posted in the accounting system to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor open purchase orders and sales orders to confirm all inventory activity is properly recorded for month‑end cut‑off.
  • Complete month‑end inventory reconciliations for third‑party warehouse facilities and ensure balances align with the accounting system.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies identified during inventory reconciliations.
  • Prepare and process inventory adjustment entries when corrections are required.
  • Ad-hoc requests as required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in inventory control, accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of inventory transactions and reconciliation processes.
  • Proficiency with accounting or ERP systems.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical/problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively within deadlines, especially during month‑end close.
