About This Position
Overview:
Mt. Shasta Ski Park is seeking reliable and observant individuals to join our team as Security Officers. Security staff play a critical role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for guests and employees. This position involves patrolling facilities, monitoring for safety concerns, responding to incidents, and supporting staff and guests with professionalism and discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
Patrol lodges, parking areas, and other resort facilities to ensure guest and employee safety.
Monitor for unauthorized access, unsafe behavior, or policy violations.
Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents, accidents, or emergencies.
Provide assistance to guests and employees in need, including lost-and-found coordination and general information.
Collaborate with management, patrol, and local law enforcement when necessary.
Complete accurate and timely incident and activity reports.
Help maintain a safe, friendly, and professional atmosphere throughout the resort.
Support crowd and traffic control during peak times, events, and emergencies.
Qualifications:
Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Physically able to stand, walk, and patrol outdoors in all weather conditions.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or public safety preferred (training provided for qualified applicants).
Valid drivers license preferred.
CPR/First Aid certification a plus.
Compensation & Schedule:
Pay rate: $17.00 $19.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Seasonal position with both full-time and part-time opportunities.
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak operating periods.
