Overview
The Ascendancy Group is seeking a motivated Business Associate to support core business operations across proposals, project coordination, and organizational administration. This entry level role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and want broad exposure to operations, project support, proposal development, finance, and internal business processes. The Business Associate will further contribute to contract administration, financial tracking, business operations, and cross functional coordination, building a strong foundation for long-term growth within the company.
Security Requirement:
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US Government SECRET security clearance is required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintain organized digital and physical records in accordance with contract standards
- Support internal process improvement initiatives and workflow optimization
- Manage calendars, meeting logistics, and internal communications for project teams
- Prepare and format reports, briefings, and documentation for government clients
- Support onboarding and administrative processing for project staff and subcontractors
- Assist with vendor coordination, procurement documentation, and subcontractor tracking
- Work closely with finance, operations, contracts, and business development teams
- Assist with special projects and organizational initiatives as assigned
- Help reconcile project expenses and ensure proper charge coding
- Assist with budget monitoring, cost tracking, and invoice preparation
- Help ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, company policies, and contract requirements
- Assist with maintaining contract files, task orders, modifications, and deliverables
- Develop and document procedures to ensure consistency and compliance
- Support additional functions within Accounting and Finance as needed
- Assist with special projects and cross-functional initiatives
- Manage logistics for office lunches, team events, and internal functions, including ordering, setup, and coordination with vendors
Minimum Requirements:
- 0-2 years' relevant experience
- Experience with SharePoint, Adobe, Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to meet stringent deadlines in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
- Positive attitude and strong team-oriented mindset
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in a government contracting environment
- Active or previous Secret clearance
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems
