About This Position
Restorative Justice Program Manager
Philadelphia + SCI Phoenix (Phoenixville, PA)
Full-Time | Salary up to $62,000
Overview
At Mural Arts Philadelphia, we believe art can be a powerful tool for healing, connection, and second chances. We’re looking for a highly organized and thoughtful professional to help coordinate programming within our Restorative Justice Department, supporting projects that engage people impacted by the justice system.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in making things work well behind the scenes. You’re someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex programs—coordinating schedules, communicating with partners, managing logistics, and making sure important details don’t fall through the cracks.
Experience working with incarcerated or formerly incarcerated communities is recommended. What matters most is your ability to stay organized, communicate with care and respect, and support programs that center dignity, creativity, and opportunity for people whose voices are often overlooked.
What You’ll Do
* You will serve as the operational bridge between correctional facility staff, Mural Arts leadership, teaching artists, and external partners.
* Your job is to ensure programs are planned, approved, and delivered without disruption.
That includes:
* Aligning curriculum and instructors with program objectives
* Confirming teaching artist logistics and materials
* Coordinating teaching schedules and securing facility approvals
* Management of programming calendar and related public/private events
* Ensuring compliance with prison policies and evaluation expectations
You will travel to SCI Phoenix in Phoenixville twice per month and work from our Philadelphia office (915 Spring Garden Street) the remainder of the time.
What Success Looks Like:
* Programs meet stated objectives and goals
* Artists are prepared to lead structured programs
* Personnel and supply orders are approved in advance and compliant with the facility’s requirements
* Establish positive relationships with stakeholders to advance the program objectives
What We’re Looking For:
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Comfort working independently and making coordination decisions
* Professional, steady communication style
* Experience facilitating de-escalation training and meetings
* Experience in project coordination, operations, events, or administrative roles
* Reliable transportation to Phoenixville, PA
* Ability to pass the correctional facility’s background check (required)
* Experience in nonprofit, arts, or institutional settings is helpful but not required
Compensation & Structure
* Salary: Up to $62,000
* Mileage reimbursement for prison travel
Mural Arts offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
* Medical, dental, and vision insurance
* Retirement plan options
* Generous paid time off and holidays
* Professional development opportunities
* Additional benefits to support employee well-being
How to Apply:
* Please submit a resume and a thoughtful cover letter describing your interest in the role and relevant experience.
* Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and early submissions are strongly encouraged.
* Please note: We are unable to accept phone inquiries or applications through outside agencies. Our HR team will make every effort to respond to your submission within three business days.
