Position SummaryWe are seeking a motivated Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Technician to support installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems across a variety of industrial and utility projects.
This role is ideal for an entry to mid-level technician who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within the I&C field. You will work under the direction of Lead Technicians and Supervisors while contributing directly to field execution.
Key Responsibilities- Install, terminate, and test instrumentation and control wiring, panels, and devices
- Assist with calibration and commissioning of instruments (flow, level, pressure, temperature, etc.)
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and schematics
- Troubleshoot control systems, including PLC-based systems and associated components
- Support startup and commissioning activities at project sites
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on I&C equipment
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project specifications, codes, and safety standards
- Accurately document work performed, including redlines and field reports
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment
- 1–5+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls, electrical, or related field
- Basic understanding of industrial control systems and instrumentation
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Experience with installation and termination of low-voltage and control wiring
- Familiarity with PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel throughout Florida and work in outdoor/industrial environments
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Experience in water/wastewater, utilities, substations, or industrial facilities
- Knowledge of SCADA systems
- Instrument calibration experience
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification
- Field-based role requiring travel to project sites across Florida
- Work may be performed outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in industrial environments
