We're seeking an experienced and motivated Quality Technician who supports operations by monitoring product and process quality. Reporting to the QC Coordinator, this role inspects materials and products, collects and analyzes data, defines quality parameters, and assists with continuous improvement initiatives. The role may also support other operational and quality functions as needed. Works closely with Production, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to ensure quality standards are met.

This positions reports directly to the Quality Coordinator

General Description

The Quality Technician supports operations by monitoring product and process quality. Reporting to the QC Coordinator, this role inspects materials and products, collects and analyzes data, defines quality parameters, and assists with continuous improvement initiatives. The role may also support other operational and quality functions as needed. Works closely with Production, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to ensure quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report quality issues to the QC Coordinator & Yard Supervisor.
  • Inspect received, in-process, and finished products.
  • Analyze and record test coupon samples and data.
  • Maintain quality documentation, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Respond to day-to-day quality issues and provide guidance to production staff.
  • Support the quality assurance team and provide technical assistance to production.
  • Ensure adherence to Endurance Technologies Inc.’s quality programs and initiatives.
  • Work with Shipping and Receiving on truckloads of material (preparing materials, confirming pins and numbers, and verifying accuracy prior to shipping)
  • Support the quality policy, scope, and objectives of the quality management system (QMS)
  • Understand and follow the company’s occupational health and safety policies and regulations (OH&S).
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational success.

Qualifications

  • Experience using precision measuring devices (Vernier, calipers, micrometers, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio)
  • Familiarity with quality certifications (ISO 9001)
  • Ability to develop work instructions or procedures and provide proper training
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems or QC tracking software is an asset
  • Self-motivated, hands-on, and detail-oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn, share knowledge, and provide training
  • Responsible, proactive, and able to raise concerns appropriately
  • Able to suggest process improvements and innovations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help achieve key quality metrics (e.g., defect rates, inspection turnaround, audit compliance)
  • Strong attention to detail when verifying shipping documentation, including pins and numbers, to ensure accuracy prior to material dispatch.
  • Fluency in both verbal and written English
  • Physical ability to lift and handle materials safely, within their comfort range
  • Successful completion of Level 1 Fit for Work Exam and drug/alcohol test

Working Conditions

  • Industrial and/or laboratory environment with noise, heat, physically demanding tasks, and potential chemical exposure
  • Regular use of standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing systems, is expected
  • Ability to wear required PPE including steel-toed boots, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks, with occasional bending, climbing, or working at heights if required
