Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and components for our projects. This role involves managing complex engineering tasks, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

1. Electrical System Design and Development

Develop, design, and optimize electrical systems, circuits, and components for projects.Perform detailed electrical calculations, including load flow analysis, short-circuit analysis, and voltage drop analysis.Create and review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation using CAD software.

2. Project Management

Lead and oversee multiple projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to define project requirements and deliverables.Manage risk assessments and implement quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.

3. Compliance and Standards

Ensure all designs and installations comply with national and international electrical codes and safety standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).Stay updated on industry regulations and incorporate them into engineering practices.

4. Leadership and Mentorship

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.Conduct training sessions and promote knowledge sharing within the team.Review and approve work completed by team members to maintain high-quality standards.

5. Testing and Troubleshooting

Conduct system testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure functionality and reliability.Identify and resolve issues in electrical systems during design, installation, or operation.

6. Continuous Improvement and Innovation

Research and implement emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance system performance.Optimize designs for cost-efficiency, scalability, and sustainability.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field (master’s preferred).Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on design and project management.Technical Expertise:Proficiency in electrical design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, MATLAB).In-depth knowledge of power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation.Familiarity with renewable energy systems, PLCs, and SCADA systems is a plus.Certifications:Professional Engineer (PE) license.Additional certifications in relevant fields (e.g., PMP, LEED) are advantageous.Skills:Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Proven leadership and team management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in industries such as manufacturing, energy, construction, or technology.Familiarity with sustainability practices and energy-efficient design.International project experience or multilingual capabilities.

Work Environment:

Combination of office-based design work and on-site inspections or installations.Occasional travel to project locations, client sites, or vendor facilities.
