Automotive Technician in Richmond, Virginia at Short Pump Motorcars LLC

We are seeking motivated and skilled Automotive Technicians at all experience levels—from B Technicians to Master Technicians. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to manufacturer and dealership standards while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Technician Levels & Responsibilities

Mid-Level / Certified Technician

• Perform mechanical repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, and drivability concerns
• Diagnose basic electrical and engine performance issues
• Use diagnostic tools and repair information systems
• Complete work efficiently and accurately according to standards
• Recommend additional needed repairs or maintenance

Master / Senior Technician

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues
• Perform advanced diagnostics using manufacturer-specific equipment
• Mentor and support junior technicians
• Ensure repairs meet quality and safety standards
• Stay current with manufacturer training and certifications

Qualifications (Varies by Level)

• Automotive technical training preferred
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Entry-Level: Willingness to learn and strong work ethic
• Mid-Level: ASE certifications and hands-on repair experience preferred
• Master Technician: Advanced certifications, manufacturer training, and extensive diagnostic experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills
• Valid State Inspection License

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the workday
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working with tools, equipment, and vehicles
