About This Position

Pharmacy Technician

ELIGIBLE FOR CMH EMPLOYEE REFERRAL BONUS: PRIORITY RECRUITMENT

The role of a Pharmacy Technician is to assist the Pharmacist in providing quality patient pharmaceutical care.

Job Requirements
Knowledge of/Skill/Ability to:
Good typing ability; computer skills; ability to adapt to new situations; high degree of accuracy for detailed work; clerical skills; ability to organize and complete assigned projects; ability to compound sterile products; Excellent customer service skills/experience; experience with medical terminology to maintain employment.
License/Certification

• Current Oregon Pharmacy Technician License or Certified Pharmacy Technician License are strongly preferred.

• If not currently licensed or certified: must obtain a Pharmacy Technician License or Certified Pharmacy Technician License from the Oregon Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of employment.

• License Renewal: At the time of renewal of the Oregon Pharmacy Technician License, you are required to renew with an Oregon Certified Pharmacy Technician License. Obtaining and maintaining a national certification through either PTCB or NHA is a prerequisite for the Certified Pharmacy Technician license and must be upheld continuously thereafter.


Education and/or Experience
Minimum Experience: Prior experience as a hospital pharmacy technician is desirable.

Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance
Long periods of standing. Position involves standing, walking, stooping, and occasional carrying and lifting of lightweight materials (up to 30 pounds). May be required to sit for extended periods of time. Requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers; and hand and finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination to use a computer keyboard and common office equipment
