Heat Treat Operator at Renold – Morristown, Tennessee

Renold Morristown is looking for a Heat Treat Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands on work, operating industrial equipment, and ensuring high quality components are safely and timely produced.

This shift is three shifts on and four shifts off, with an every other Wednesday shift, giving planned overtime and downtime.

Heat Treat Operator are responsible for operating heat treat equipment to harden and temper metal components according to engineering specifications.

Some key responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Set up and operate heat treat furnaces and related equipment
• Load and unload parts using baskets, containers, and feeding systems
• Monitor furnace conditions including:
  • Temperature
  • Quench levels
  • Conveyor speeds
  • Burner performance
• Inspect parts using hardness testing equipment (Rockwell and Brinell)
• Perform destructive and non-destructive testing to verify case depth and hardness
• Stage materials and prepare parts for processing
• Maintain furnace equipment and perform routine maintenance
• Record production and inspection results
• Identify and segregate non-conforming materials
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Manufacturing or industrial experience
• Mechanical aptitude
• Experience with inspection tools or testing equipment
• Ability to read work orders and production instructions
• Strong attention to quality and safety
