JOB TITLE: Laundry Tech
DEPARTMENT: Laundry
REPORTS TO: Facilities Director

JOB SUMMARY
To provide the hospital, Long Term Care Center, Cedar Mountain Center and any other hospital facility with clean and sanitary linen.

STARTING WAGE $15.19/HOUR + MORE DOE

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Able to read, understand and follow directions. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

SIGN-ON/RETENTION BONUS

EXPERIENCE
Entry level. Will provide on the job training. Previous laundry experience is helpful, but not necessary.

• Must possess a high degree of confidentiality in all matters with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
• Must be able to perform a variety of routine duties and carry out assignments to completion with a minimum of supervision.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Must have the ability to work as a member of a team.
• Interest in the welfare of the patients and visitors.
• Must be able to work around unpleasant odors and illnesses.
• Must have the ability to multi-task.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
May be required to have a valid clean active driver’s license if retrieving or delivering laundry outbuildings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Weigh, chart, sort soiled linen, wash, dry and fold clean linen according to procedures.
• Mend and sew when necessary.
• Deliver clean and sanitary linen and personal clothing to designated areas.
• Responsible for keeping work area clean and sanitary.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
May be requested to do other related duties for which the individual is qualified to perform.
