Class A Driver - Local at Sadler Brothers Trucking – Jacksonville, Florida

Position Description: Drivers in this position will be based out of our Jacksonville, FL, Terminal and operate primarily within 250 miles of Jacksonville, FL.

Primary Monday - Friday, some weekend work may be required during peak season operations.

Orlando, FL

Savannah, GA

Tampa, FL

Vero Beach, FL

No touch freight

Drivers will be responsible for securing freight for transit

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:

Operate company-owned/leased trucks to facilitate the movement of US Mail operations and Freight operations.

Operate company-owned/leased trucks for the delivery, pickup, and relocation of US Mail and Freight.

Perform required before, during, and after-operation inspections on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to shop personnel; clean equipment and required reports

Provide outstanding customer service during the delivery and pickup operations of US Mail and Freight.

Maintain all required certifications as mandated by the DOT and OSHA, as well as the company's safety programs.

Maintain and protect all property entrusted to you.

Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.

Perform all duties in accordance with applicable safety and security standards.

Position Responsibilities: Knowledge and Insight gained from 2+ years as a Class A CDL Driver General Mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting capability. Ability to operate a smartphone or tablet for ELD and dispatch Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Class A drivers license a must! Requirements Valid CDL
Valid Medical Card
Pass pre-employment drug test
Minimum Age 22 years of age or older Experience 2 or more years of experience as a tractor/trailer driver Driving Record No more than 2 moving violation convictions (other than prohibited) and no more than 1 preventable, DOT recordable losses in the past 12 months.

No more than 4 moving violation convictions (other than prohibited); no more than 2 preventable, DOT recordable losses; and in combination no more than 2 moving violation convictions and 2 preventable, DOT recordable losses in the past 36 months.
