Samaritan Health Services has an opportunity for an Emergency Medicine Medical Director in Albany, Oregon.

Samaritan Health Services is seeking an Emergency Medicine Medical Director to join our team in Albany, OR. Staff a busy level IV trauma emergency department. The emergency medicine director will function as a liaison between a system-wide medical group, local hospital administration, local physician groups, and the emergency medicine group.

Samaritan Albany General Hospital is a 79-bed acute care facility and health center providing medical services to the greater Albany, Oregon, area. Our award-winning health system provides exceptional primary care and a range of specialty services throughout the mid-Willamette Valley and Central Oregon coast. The network serves approximately 300,000 residents in Linn, Benton, Lincoln and portions of Polk and Marion counties. Job Specifics

• Lead approximately 12 excellent emergency medicine trained physicians and APCs
• Review physician performance and address care concerns
• Direct the ED in its goal to become a high reliability organization
• Position is .8FTE clinician and .2FTE administrative
• 10-11 shifts per month- 10-hour shifts with approximately 16 patients per shift
• 25,000 visits annually
• Hospital employed

Job Requirements

• Board certified/Board eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Should possess excellent clinical skills, communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing excellent care that is collaborative
• Eligibility to work in the United States
