What You’ll Be Doing

As a Pool Repair Technician at Gold Medal Pools, you’ll be trusted to diagnose, repair, and improve residential swimming pool systems with confidence and precision.

Our top technicians don’t just perform repairs — they discover issues, quote solutions, and generate their own work within the role. This is a production-based position where self-motivation and professionalism directly impact your earnings.

Responsibilities include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing pool equipment (pumps, filters, heaters, automation, plumbing, valves, etc.)
  • Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical pool system issues
  • Performing leak detection and repair
  • Discovering additional repair opportunities during service visits
  • Creating and explaining repair quotes to customers
  • Completing repairs efficiently while maintaining high safety and quality standards
  • Accurately documenting work performed
  • Representing Gold Medal Pools with professionalism on every job site

Compensation Structure

This is a production pay role based on billable hours, designed to reward high-performing technicians.

  • Pay based on billable production
  • Commission paid on revenue generated
  • Higher performance = higher earnings
  • Ideal for technicians who are self-motivated and take ownership of their work
Requirements:

Required:

  • Strong knowledge of pool systems and equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues independently
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Self-motivated with a production mindset

Preferred (but not required):

  • RAIL certification
    • Not required to start
    • Company will pay for and assist in obtaining certification
  • Experience with automation systems
  • Plumbing or electrical background
  • Leadership or training experience
