About This Position

JOB SUMMARY

This role leads end-to-end supply planning, logistics execution, and the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for the egg division. The Director owns inventory balance across internal production, contract supply, and external sourcing, ensuring customer demand is met efficiently, reliably, and profitably.

In a lean operating environment, this role balances strategic ownership with hands on execution, particularly while foundational processes and team capabilities are being built. Success requires building scalable systems, establishing disciplined processes, and developing a high-performing team that can operate autonomously. The Director serves as the integrator across Sales, Production, Processing, and Logistics to ensure alignment, visibility, and operational stability.

Supply Planning & Coordination (40%)

  • Coordinate internal teams and external transportation partners to meet service and efficiency targets.
  • Anticipate disruptions, adjust plans quickly, and communicate impacts and solutions.

    • Build scalable processes that support growth without adding complexity.

    Inventory & Production Management (20%)

    • Oversee production scheduling alignment with demand requirements.
    • Track and manage critical KPIs such as fill rate, inventory turns, and days on hand.
    • Optimize stock levels to balance service, freshness, working capital, and margin.
    • Strengthen team capability through coaching, performance management, and role clarity.

    Managing Longs & Shorts (15%)

    • Own strategy and execution for managing surplus inventory and supply shortfalls.
    • Partner with Sales and Marketing to monetize excess inventory and secure coverage for deficits.

    • Comfortable designing solutions that scale beyond themselves and actively avoids hero- or workaround-based operating models.
