As a Pharmacy Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in analyzing pharmacy spend, identifying cost drivers, and supporting strategic decisions that improve outcomes for clients. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including pharmacists, actuaries, and data experts to deliver impactful financial insights. The position involves working on complex analytics projects, procurement processes, and contract evaluations in a fast-paced and collaborative setting. Accountabilities:
  • Analyze pharmacy spend data using advanced financial tools and Excel to identify cost drivers, trends, and optimization opportunities.
  • Support RFP and procurement processes, including data collection, financial evaluation of vendor responses, and preparation of detailed reports and presentations.
  • Assist in pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) contract reviews and negotiations through financial modeling and evaluation of pricing structures and terms.
  • Develop and enhance analytical methodologies and reporting frameworks to assess performance and outcomes using internal systems.
  • Prepare client-facing reports and presentations, translating complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, tools, and system efficiencies across financial operations.
  • Manage project timelines and contribute to mentoring and training junior analysts within the financial team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related analytical field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in pharmacy benefit analytics, healthcare consulting, or a similar analytical role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools, with the ability to perform complex data analysis.
  • Solid understanding of pharmacy and medical claims data and healthcare cost structures.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Familiarity with databases (e.g., MS Access or relational databases) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial insights clearly.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
