Job Title: Junior Buyer
Department: Supply Chain / Procurement
Reports To: Supply Chain Manager

Role Purpose
The Junior Buyer supports procurement operations by purchasing packaging, supplies, and tooling required for manufacturing activities. This entry-level role ensures materials are acquired in a timely, cost-effective manner while maintaining quality and supplier performance standards.

Scope & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform assigned duties in accordance with documented procedures and work instructions
• Assist in sourcing and purchasing packaging materials, production supplies, and tooling
• Create, issue, and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to prevent shortages or overstock
• Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and delivery schedules
• Resolve discrepancies related to shipments, invoicing, or quality issues
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation in ERP systems
• Support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with internal departments including production, warehouse, and accounting

Work Experience & Skills

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required;

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred but not required

Experience:
0–2 years of experience in purchasing, inventory, administrative support, or a manufacturing environment preferred

Skills / Knowledge:
Basic understanding of procurement processes and supply chain principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Ability to learn ERP or purchasing systems
Strong organizational and time management skills
Basic negotiation and vendor communication skills

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to learn and grow within the organization
Dependable and proactive team player

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements (if applicable)
• Work environment (office, manufacturing floor, remote): Primarily office-based with regular interaction on the manufacturing floor
• Physical or operational requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods; occasional walking through production and warehouse areas
