The Donation Warehouse Associate plays a critical role in managing the intake, organization, and distribution of donated goods within a warehouse setting. This position ensures that all donations are accurately received, inspected for quality, and properly stored to maintain inventory integrity. The associate collaborates closely with team members to prepare items for distribution to various community programs and beneficiaries. Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Basic proficiency with inventory management systems or willingness to learn.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work flexible hours as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Familiarity with donation-based or nonprofit organizations.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment.
  • Basic computer skills including data entry and use of spreadsheets.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and external partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and unload incoming donations, verifying quantities and condition against donation records.
  • Sort, categorize, and organize donated items in designated warehouse areas to optimize space and accessibility.
  • Inspect donations for quality and safety, removing any items that do not meet organizational standards.
  • Prepare and package donations for distribution to partner agencies or direct recipients.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems and report discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist with regular warehouse cleaning and maintenance to ensure a safe and orderly work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate donation flow and meet distribution schedules.
