About This Position
JOB SUMMARY
The Customer Relations Specialist reports to the Human Resources System Manager of Employment & work closely with all areas of human resources. Partners with and serves as a backup to the HR Specialist and in that role is responsible and accountable to efficiently coordinate all aspects of new hire and non-employee processing according to federal, state and Forrest Health guidelines.
Performance Expectations:
- Greet and assist lobby visitors with employment applications, onboarding, computer troubleshooting, and pre-employment assessments.
- Answer and route calls promptly, using clarifying questions to ensure accurate referral.
- Maintain HR lobby daily, ensuring it is clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Manage employment verification requests in compliance with policy and confidentiality standards.
- Prepare, process, and maintain new hire files including scanning, indexing, I-9 compliance, E-Verify submissions, and Lawson data entry.
- Assist with onboarding appointments and ensure accuracy of new hire information.
- Issue employee, contractor, volunteer, and student ID badges following protocol.
- Coordinate supply orders and invoice payments in Lawson.
- Receive, log, and distribute incoming mail and faxes.
- Provide clerical and administrative support, including data entry, scheduling, and document preparation.
- Uphold strict confidentiality and professionalism when handling information.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity, tact, patience, and professionalism in all interactions.
Qualifications
Education/Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Higher education preferred. Typing speed of thirty-five WPM is required. Computer literacy required. Must be proficient with Microsoft Suites, including Outlook.
Work Experience:
A minimum of one year of customer service/receptionist experience is required.

Communicate effectively at all levels, both verbally and in writing. Adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced HR operations environment.
