Position Information
Reporting to the Dean's office, the Physical Planning Liaison serves as a key strategist and tactician to CNAS leadership and academic chairs/directors, ensuring the organization achieves physical planning objectives that align with campus leadership. As the single point-of-contact for issues, initiatives, projects, and planning activities involving safety, facilities, and space, the incumbent applies expertise to identify, negotiate, advocate, develop, implement, and evaluate complex issues that significantly impact and influence organizational policies, procedures, processes, and projects related to physical planning and infrastructure. Serving as the Dean's liaison, this role requires significant problem-solving and project management acumen to implement safety initiatives; prioritize and coordinate facilities projects; and, analyze and modify space utilization to manage risk exposure, leverage resources, and enhance sustainability. Success in this role depends on the ability to engage with constituents at all levels and across many disciplines/units including Enterprise Risk Management, Environmental Health & Safety, Facilities Services, Architects & Engineers, Capital Planning, among others. Finally, the successful candidate must have the ability to act on behalf of the Dean to represent - and advance - CNAS on a broad range of campus level committees.The full salary range for the Physical Planning Liaison is $114,300 - $220,900 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $114,300 - $194,250 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.
