We are seeking a hands-on IT Network Engineer – Field Operations to support our growing infrastructure and ensure reliable, secure, and scalable connectivity across our corporate offices and auction operations.
In this role, you will:
Own day-to-day network operations (VLANs, SSIDs, QoS, routing, switching) using our network management stack (for example, Ubiquiti/UniFi).Use our ITSM and asset management platform (FreshService) to keep tickets, CMDB, and runbooks accurate and actionable.Support our auction technology programs from planning through on-site execution, ensuring the network and critical systems are ready for each event.Collaborate with teams using our monitoring, endpoint, and SaaS management tools (e.g., Datadog, Hexnode MDM, SentinelOne EDR/CNAPP, Trelica) to deliver a secure and reliable environment.You’ll combine technical network work with structured IT processes (ITSM/ITAM, change control, documentation, and field execution).

What You Will Do:
Network OperationsConfigure, manage, and maintain network services including VLANs, SSIDs, QoS policies, routing, and switching.Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot network equipment and Wi-Fi infrastructure using centralized management platforms (for example, Ubiquiti/UniFi).Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity, latency, and performance issues across corporate offices, remote locations, and auction sites.Use infrastructure and network monitoring tools (for example, Datadog dashboards and UniFi controllers) to proactively detect issues and ensure availability during business operations and live auctions.ITSM, CMDB & DocumentationMaintain and update the FreshService CMDB, ensuring that circuits, switches, access points, and other key assets are correctly mapped to sites, auction locations, and services.Use FreshService to manage tickets, changes, and service requests related to network and field operations.Create and maintain Knowledge Base articles and runbooks in FreshService to enable IT Support and Field Operations to self-serve common issues (e.g., “bring an auction site online,” “replace an AP and update the CMDB”).Document network standards, diagrams, procedures, and change history so others can reliably understand and support the environment.Asset & Program ManagementOversee and maintain network and IT spare kits (e.g., pre-configured switches, access points, cables, scanners, and peripherals) to ensure readiness for deployments and break/fix situations.Track and manage hardware across locations using our IT asset management practices and tools (primarily FreshService, and where applicable, integrated views from platforms like Trelica for SaaS/contract mapping).Coordinate and execute technology sign-offs for auction programs, confirming that connectivity, Wi-Fi coverage, and critical systems (including devices managed via Hexnode MDM and protected by SentinelOne) have been tested and are ready before each event.Collaboration, Security & Field SupportPartner closely with Systems Administrators, IT Support, Security, and Field Operations to deliver seamless network experiences for staff and auction participants.Work with our endpoint management and security stack (e.g., Hexnode for MDM and SentinelOne for EDR/CNAPP) to ensure devices used at sites are compliant, secure, and properly connected.Provide on-site support for regional offices and auctions, including temporary network setups, Wi-Fi tuning, cutovers, and incident response during live events.TravelTravel up to 50% to regional offices and auction locations to support network deployments, upgrades, and live events (including occasional overnight stays).What You Will Need:
Required:3+ years of experience in network engineering or a similar IT infrastructure role.Strong knowledge of VLANs, SSIDs, QoS, routing, and switching concepts and configurations.Experience using an ITSM platform for tickets, CMDB, knowledge base, and runbooks (ideally FreshService or similar).Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across wired and wireless networks.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-driven environment with minimal supervision.Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently (including occasional overnight stays).Languages: English (required), French (strongly desired)Preferred:Hands-on experience with Ubiquiti/UniFi or similar enterprise/SMB networking platforms (e.g., Cisco, Meraki).Familiarity with auction, event-based, or temporary site technology deployments (e.g., pop-up networks, temporary Wi-Fi for events).Experience with infrastructure and network monitoring tools (for example, Datadog or equivalent monitoring/observability platforms).Experience working with endpoint management and security platforms (e.g., Hexnode MDM, SentinelOne EDR/CNAPP) to ensure secure, compliant devices on the network.Exposure to SaaS/contract and cost management platforms (e.g., Trelica) and an understanding of how technology choices impact cost and operations.What We Offer:

The base pay range for this full-time position is $100,000.00 - $120,000.00, and this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition, our ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
