We are seeking a highly skilled, self-directed Mobile Preventative Maintenance Technician to support our ready mix concrete plants. This role operates independently in performing preventative maintenance and detailed equipment inspections across multiple plant locations. The technician works to identify maintenance needs, and ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and compliance.

The Role:

  • Perform mobile preventative maintenance on ready mix plant equipment, including oil changes, greasing, lubrication, fluid checks, and general upkeep
  • Inspect and evaluate plant equipment such as conveyors, batch plants, silos, motors, gearboxes, and related systems
  • Identify mechanical, electrical, and safety issues and document findings accurately
  • Conduct seasonal pre-inspections (primarily winter months) to build detailed maintenance and repair work scopes
  • Develop organized maintenance backlog lists for plant and maintenance teams
  • Serve as the primary conduit for communicating inspection findings and recommended repairs to maintenance facilities
  • Perform post-maintenance inspections to verify repairs meet company standards and ensure quality workmanship
  • Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory requirements
  • Support troubleshooting efforts and contribute to continuous improvement of preventative maintenance processes
  • Maintain accurate inspection reports, preventative maintenance records, and service documentation
  • Track equipment condition, maintenance history, and recurring issues
  • Follow established maintenance processes while helping improve inspection and PM workflows
  • May assist with other duties as needed

Work Environment:

  • Local travel required between multiple ready mix plant locations
  • Combination of outdoor plant environments and maintenance shop settings
  • Exposure to dust, noise, weather conditions, and industrial equipment

What we Look For:

  • Individuals who work safely and have the courage to speak up if you see unsafe behavior or conditions.
  • In-depth knowledge of ready mix concrete plant equipment and industrial machinery
  • Strong preventative maintenance experience in an industrial or plant environment
  • CDL holder and DOT inspection experience preferred
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong data entry, documentation, and record-keeping abilities
  • Process-driven with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with plant personnel
