RANGE CASHIER at MALLARDS SHOOTING SUPPLY AND A – Crystal River, Florida

Job Summary:

The Part-Time Range Cashier is responsible for, but not limited to, providing exceptional customer service while processing range and experience check-ins, payments, and retail transactions accurately and efficiently. This role supports the daily operations of the indoor gun range by ensuring safe, professional, and smooth front-end service for all range and experience guests and members.

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Greet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Process range fees, memberships, and retail sales through the POS system accurately.
• Verify identification and ensure customers meet all range requirements before shooting.
• Communicate range rules, policies, and safety procedures to guests.
• Handle customer inquiries and direct range-related questions to the appropriate staff.
• Balance cash drawer, handle payments, and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional range and experience counter and range area.
• Support range staff with check-in/check-out procedures and lane assignments.
• Monitor guest flow to minimize wait times and ensure efficient operations.
• Assist with membership sign-ups, renewals, and promotional events.
• Follow all company, legal, and safety guidelines, including lead exposure controls.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a cashier, range, or retail setting preferred.
• Strong communication, multitasking, and customer service skills.
• Basic knowledge of firearms and range safety preferred (training provided).
• Reliable, organized, and able to work independently.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs occasionally.
• Ability to bend, reach, and handle merchandise or range equipment as needed.
• Comfortable working in an environment with firearms and moderate noise.

Schedule:

Part-time position; flexibility required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
