Ocean Export Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Ocean Export Coordinator to manage and oversee international ocean export shipments. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and compliant movement of goods, maintain strong communication with clients and carriers, and handle documentation accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage ocean export shipments from origin to destination
  • Prepare, review, and process export documentation (Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and customs requirements
  • Communicate effectively with carriers, freight forwarders, and customers regarding shipment status and updates
  • Track shipments and proactively resolve any delays, discrepancies, or other issues
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records in internal systems
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and provide timely shipment updates
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth logistics operations

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in ocean export, freight forwarding, or logistics preferred
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and Incoterms
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and logistics/shipping software systems
