About the Role
Be the welcoming face and a vital part of patient care at our clinic. The Patient Services Representative / Medical Assistant (PSR/MA) is a dynamic hybrid role that blends exceptional frontline customer service with hands-on clinical support. As the first point of contact, you’ll help set the tone for every patient experience while also stepping in to provide Medical Assistant coverage that keeps our clinical operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
Patient Services Representative (Primary)
- Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism, courtesy, and warmth
- Schedule and manage patient appointments, including follow-up visits
- Verify insurance eligibility and guide patients through financial assistance options
- Assist patients with registration, forms, and use of the patient portal
- Collect payments and maintain accurate financial records
- Maintain and update patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Ensure reception and waiting areas are clean, organized, and welcoming
Medical Assistant (As Needed)
- Welcome and prepare patients for visits, collecting vital signs and health information
- Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments within your scope of practice
- Administer medications and vaccines in accordance with provider orders and within the Medical Assistant scope of practice
- Perform routine tests (such as vision and hearing screenings) and assist with lab specimens
- Maintain accurate documentation using our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
- Help manage prescription refill requests and medication reconciliations
- Provide clear patient education and support as directed by the provider

- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years’ experience in healthcare, in a similar position or in another industry, in a customer service role
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Bilingual, English/Spanish, fluent
